The most smoothest house purchase ever!

We've been wanting to move to Italy for years and in particular our hearts are firmly on Lake Como. We had heard horror stories about the buying process so went prepared in September last year to just start looking but after looking at many houses found "the one" through Lakeside.

In today's marketplace there can be little that separates one business from another or the ethical business practices from one to another, fortunately, this is not the case with Lakeside Real Estate, Menaggio. Especially important for us who do not speak Italian and need help now and then with paperwork and other aspects of living in Italy.

Es hat mich positiv überrascht, wie reibungslos und effizient der Kauf vonstatten ging. Weiterhin hat mich gefreut, dass ihr Service nicht mit der Vertragsunterschrift endete, sondern Sara und Elisa mich auch weiterhin in allen administrativen Belangen (Bankkontoeröffnung, Steuerangelegenheiten etc) nach dem Kauf unterstützten. Ich würde mich jederzeit wieder an Sara wenden.

Sara and Elisa from Lakeside provided excellent service and support for the sale of our Como home, and the purchase of another home in the same village. Their communications were timely and accurate. The support included all contacts with the notaries, the Commune, the Province, and all of the Utilities companies. The support is ongoing as we tend to have additional questions, etc. And now we are in the process of completing renovations and they continue to provide support.

Over the past 10 yrs we've progressed through several properties at Lake Como,dealing with various Immobiliare (estate agents) - some good some not so good ! The past few years our experience with Sara at Lakeside has been refreshingly calm and relatively hassle free.
In addition to her linguistic skills and specific local knowledge we always felt comfortable that Sara was "working for us", plus Lakesides fee's have been fair.
Elisa and the other office staff provide a great support service during and especially after the deals done.One added bonus we found was Luciano, an engineer based at Lakeside, project manages refurbs,etc ..
